How to Get GREAT, 100% Unique Content for $2/Article (this is the real-deal)…

December 10th, 2008 · 54 Comments

When you really get down to it, as an affiliate publisher - content equals money.

Whether you’re using it to get links, to tap into long-tail searches, to review products. to build one-page mini sites, or to “pre-sell” your visitors with memorable, useful content – it’s literally the “currency” of the web.

But the truth is that writing SUCKS. Well, at least I think it does. Especially doing things like writing tutorials, product reviews and articles for distribution. It’s mundane, repetitive and boring.

Anyone who’s built a “conduit” site (product reviews) or even a content site about something they’re genuinely interested in knows that even to build the smallest of sites – you still gotta sit on your ASS for hours on end…

…writing.

This is where OUTSOURCING comes in.

And that’s a whole other skill altogether. Anyone who’s ever outsourced articles “on the cheap” will likely shudder from the bad memories of having to essentially totally re-write the “articles” they’ve gotten back from their overseas “writer”.

Been there, done that.

What it comes down to is that it’s very, very hard to find a good writer who can produce genuinely good content that would actually engage your visitors, get distributed (if you’re submitting it) or simply be worth your time. And when you do – it will cost you.

And this is simply because FLUENT english writers are primarily going to be from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and a few other locations. All of which have a high cost of living, which means that getting a full-length article for anything less than $15 to $20 (minimum) is out of the question.

Now the other thing about this is that any good writer is going to have a full line-up of clients. And in my experience, their plates are almost always too full. Which means that their turnover times and volume are limited.

In some cases, it’s almost faster just to write the damn articles yourself…

This is the reality of outsourcing, and anyone who’s worked with writers will relate to this.

Good help is hard to find, it’s hard to scale up – and you’ll never get it for rock-bottom prices…

That’s why I am very excited to introduce a service that I think will cause a lot of people to think twice about their monthly PLR membership fees – since getting 100% UNIQUE, QUALITY content (created solely by US writers), is, for the first time…

…incredibly cheap.

Introducing:

Articlez – Quality, Fluent Writing For “Overseas” Prices

Articlez, which just went live TODAY, is another project that’s being spearheaded by Dave Kelly (from LinkVana, and more recently, Ranking Loophole).

Dave and his team from LinkVana faced many challenges when they began dealing with the amount of volume that had to be processed from users who were building natural, one-way links through the LV network. In time, they managed to nail down an effective writer procurement strategy (in general, by recruiting semi-retired individuals in the US) that could not only produce quality content – but also in volume.

(That’s a hell of an accomplishment…)

And Articlez is simply a scaled-up extension of this style of writer recruitment and fulfillment.

The result?

You can purchase quality, UNIQUE content in mass (or singularly) for the following prices:

* 100-word snippets (useful for blog posts) for $2 a piece

* 200-word mini-posts (great for authority blogs, minimally-researched) for $4 a piece

* 350-word articles (product reviews, tutorials, promotional – well-researched) for $6 a piece

This is all done through a centralized web-based system, and your content is delivered in all of the following formats: TXT, CSV and XML format. Ready to be published directly into your HTML editor, blog or your site’s CMS.

And that’s all it costs.

There’s no membership fee or recurring monthly cost.

You simply join the Articlez system for free, purchase credits (1 credit = $1) and start submitting projects.

Think of it this way – it would cost you a measly $60 to create content for a 10-page product review site.

Or just $30 to create the content for FIVE of your one-page ”loophole” money-sites.

And on top of that – it’s all centralized.

There’s no chasing down individual writers, going through the hassle of using “escrow” or freelancer sites, or trying to keep track of all your writers.

You simply load up your credits, load up your project descriptions, send it off – and then focus on things that you actually want to do.

This is a total no-brainer, and I think it’s going to have a lot of people seriously re-considering their “PLR” memberships.

Because this is almost as cheap as PLR, except that you don’t have to “re-write” it for effective use on your site.

It’s already 100% unique.

Check it out:

Enjoy!

I am planning to use Unique Article Wizard as part of my promotions. Can they write UAW ready articles (need-an-article.net claims their writers can). Thanks!

    This is awesome, thanks Chris!

Looks like the same basic setup as LinkVana, which is super easy to use. Turnaround time for those outsourced posts are typically 2-4 days, from my experience. That’s for a 100 word article.

  • 4 Berko // Dec 10, 2008 at 5:15 pm

    Sounds reasonable!

I wouldn’t say its dirt cheap, but reasonable. The idea of one centralized place is appealling

  • 5 Hayley // Dec 10, 2008 at 5:19 pm

That is amazing. Thank you for the heads up! I was just thinking about WHERE to get outsourcing from, and I was dreading going searching on the internet.

    Chris,

That some pretty smart people you hang out with there.
I guess it’s the birds of a feather, hang together…
    thingy.

    You might like this…

I was sitting here writing an article actually a blog post, (hating it, by the way) when lo and behold my gmail notifier pops up and I just saw
your name, so naturally I had to check it out.

Ha, talk about timing being everything.
I just looked up and said thanks after I read the email.

That is a no BS tale right there.

I know that Dave Kelly and the team do quality
stuff. So I already signed up.
    No brainer actually.

Wonder what how long they have been sitting on that domain name. If they bought it must have run a fortune.
    Great name.

As always, look forward to your next email,
always know it’s going to be interesting and useful.

Thought I would drop a line

Wow great. I already joined and will def. be using the service soon.

Two questions maybe you can answer.

    1. How does the affiliate program work?

    2. Is it possible for me to make a 600+ word article. Like could I pay $12 and get them to make a 700 word article?

    Thanks Chris

  • 8 admin // Dec 10, 2008 at 5:29 pm

    Hi Ivan,

I’m not sure about the 600+ word articles.

I think Dave will probably be measuring feedback from users and then re-adjusting/adding new article types based on demand.

    Thanks!

    Chris,
This sounds like a great service. I signed up as soon as I read your post. However, I tried watching their training video and it is broken. I added a ticket for the problem. Hopefully, they will have it fixed soon. It does seem that they may have jumped the gun on the launch as there is not any documentation or an FAQ for using the service. Plus as Ivan alluded, there is nothing that explains the affiliate program. BTW, as I was typing this comment I already received as reply from Dave that they are working on the training video. GREAT response time!

  • 11 Cinjon // Dec 10, 2008 at 5:55 pm

    Hi Chris:

Do you know if this is strictly articles only or is there flexibility in providing other content needed to complete say, a conduit – or perhaps can projects be tailored to specific needs as done on an elance type site – for adjusted pricing, of course.

  • 12 Paul Easton // Dec 10, 2008 at 6:02 pm

Looks like a winner -have signed up -what about rewriting existing content pricing?

  • 13 George // Dec 10, 2008 at 6:03 pm

It seems like you need at least one more step up in your offering as Ezinearticles.com (which you refer to) and others say 400-750 word articles are an ideal size. I wouldn’t want to have to add to an article I just paid for.

what a great recommendation you have! Just sign up.

I just getting started to outsource articles, in fact, just yesterday I met local (yes I’m in non english country) to outsource my article writing.

  • 22 Ron // Dec 10, 2008 at 8:34 pm

Thanks for the heads up – once again your lazy a** saves me a lot of work . This will open up a lot of new avenues as I don’t have to order 10 or 20 articles at a time

  • 23 Larry // Dec 10, 2008 at 9:07 pm

This sounds to good to be true. Just one Question do you have a source for good landing pages too?

  • 24 Skip // Dec 10, 2008 at 9:20 pm

One thing that occurred to me while watching the video. Let’s say you order 5 articles, each on a different model of TV (all as a single project). Then the following week you decide to order another 5 articles for another set of TVs. Would there be a way to request the same author?

It seems like it would help in two regards. First, the original writer would have already developed both a general knowledge and a “mindset” about the topic. For example, having written over 1500 words about it already, they would have gone through the experience of determining the most important thing to write about. So if viewing angle is the hot topic for TV buyers, then the content would naturally flow from there.

Seems like this would be of benefit to both the buyer and the writer. The buyer gets a consistent and more thoughtful article while the writer benefits from a quicker turnaround due to familiarity with the topic. Also, if the buyer accepted the first set of articles then there’s a good chance that the second set will be approved.

Second, the “voice” would be consistent with the first set of articles. Put another way, although we expect different writing styles in newspapers, reading two content by two different authors on a small site/blog can feel awkward.

Overall the concept is great. Just some food for thought.

  • 25 Dave M // Dec 10, 2008 at 10:44 pm

    Skip,
The back end system is rather advanced and the setup for writers automatically facilitates matching up ordered keywords with a writers previous work and assumed knowledge base. With such a large amount of writers, there is rarely a project that goes by that where a dozen or more writers don’t have experience with the topic. An obvious tip – it does help to use the most appropriate general category when placing the order.

That said, great suggestion. If anyone has any suggestion or comment, the best thing would be to shoot a ticket to support. We will be looking over all good suggestions soon after the launch cools off… and everything is really appreciated. :)
    -Dave

  • 26 Drak // Dec 10, 2008 at 10:53 pm

I logged a support ticket with them and they said they would add another package if there was demand… so I guess if everyone logs a support ticket we’ll get what we want.

    Regards.

I have been using NeedAnArticle for a while but it was always annoying me that I had to do the research and provide them with links to similar content.

What takes most of the time is the research and thinking about what and how to write – not the writing itself.

    So I will give it a try…

  • 35 Johann // Dec 11, 2008 at 7:54 am

Agree with Mike – need to see terms. Sent a ticket off to check on ownership of arcitle/content being passed to the paying customer. Also believe there needs to be other package offerings for larger word arctiles.

  • 36 admin // Dec 11, 2008 at 5:33 pm

The articles you receive back are 100% yours, and they’re uniquely, exclusively yours.

The payment system seems to be working again.

Also – with enough feedback, I don’t see why they wouldn’t start offering larger article sizes.

I’m not sure about re-writes or creating “spinnable” articles. That seems to be a different tangent of content service.

    Thanks

    Hi Chris

I checked this site out & it seems OK if you want smaller sized portions, but in all honesty, I have found Need-An-Article.net much better value for money, simply because I prefer bigger articles.

550 word articles are US$5.52 and they also offer article rewrites for as little as $4.75 (for 2 or more). Very suitable for Unique Article Wizard.

No, they don’t offer smaller article options at lower prices, but from my POV, 1-200 words is mostly useless for my needs.

Only “catch” is a membership fee, but its very low $9.95/month.

I have had great results from them for the last 6 months. I work for an SEO firm & we use the articles for client link building. Have probably had 100s of articles written thru them.

Their writers seem to be very good (I have encountered 2 that weren’t, but they sorted that asap and got someone else to do the job) and they seem to mostly be from western nations (USA, UK, Australia, Canada).

I have hired USA writers before (rentacoder) who were shocking!!! Worse than the Indians are, so there’s no guarantee that just because they are from the states, they’re any good.

The only thing I will say is you need to be pre-prepared to use them. I have written up templated text I can copy & paste into the form when ordering articles that explains EXACTLY what I want/expect.

Doing this sped up the process significantly, and saved me LOTS of time & errors.

Thanks for the heads-up though. I will keep articlez in mind for future needs.

    regards

    Eran from Australia

Just wanted to add my 2 cents on this service:

I added my project on the 10th and checked in every day or so to see when it might get picked up. Since it was the first one, I just wasn’t sure how well or quickly they’d be done.

I was surprised and delighted to get 6 full articles done by the 17th – just a 1 week turn-around. The bonus is, the articles are superb! I don’t feel like I need to do anything with them but put them up on my sites.

I now have excellent copy for 6 money-sites and am thrilled :–)

    Hi Chris,

Articlez is really a nice service, I got a project nicely done and articles well written. I have a question related to article marketing : should we rewrite all of our articles when we want to submit them to multiple article directories ?

I still see some recommending we rewrite articles, and others saying we can submit an article without changing any word to as many directories.

So, does it really matter ? What are your thoughts on duplicate content ?

Thanks, waiting for your next VIP report !

  • 51 klik // Mar 26, 2009 at 7:18 am

Hm… 2$ for a 100 word blurb, I would hardly call that an “article”.

6$ for a 350 word piece is pretty run of the mill… and there are other professional services doing it for less.
