From broke musician to super-successful 7 figure internet marketer, Matt Wadsworth has one hell of a story to begin with…
But the real kicker?
He’s blind from birth.
And I’ve just interviewed him in detail – talking about exactly how he started, what he does, what he sells, how he gets things rolling…
…and how he does it all against seemingly impossible odds.
There is nothing for sale or “hinted at” in this interview whatsoever. (It’s hard to have an agenda when you don’t have anything for sale.)
And in fact, this is likely more inspiring and more valuable than anything you’ll see this year - including all the 4-figure price tag product launches that are undoubtedly getting lined up for the spring in our ridiculous market.
So do yourself a favor and listen to Matt’s story. It will blow your mind – as well as remove any possible excuse you have left in terms of getting things done and seeing results.
Download it Here: http://www.mattwadsworth.com/matt-chris-interview/
If there’s one “distraction” you decide to take today… listen to Matt’s story.
Enjoy

Good interview overall…
point I learned:
This business is not for everyone, it does take desire and intensity to make it work for you and you need to start taking responsibilities for yourself.

Chris this sounds real good. I’ll take a gander and open up my ears.
5 Gil // Feb 11, 2010 at 3:01 am
Great talk Matt & Chris.
Tenacity is something that is sooooo necessary for this kind of business BUT from listening to the both of you this tenacity or intensity, as Sakana says, is difficult to produce when someone is in a desperate situation.
As Matt said you’re in the wrong mindset from the beginning if all you want to do is make money within a short period of time (like a month or 2) forget it.
Chris like you’ve said all along it’s “great content” and now I’ve also heard it from Matt as well by “being useful”.
And it’s very difficult to do be creative and useful to the visitor when all you want to see is their open wallet.
Their has to be genuine mindset of usefulness within the writing.
Thanks again!

I was on the Warrior Forum the other day talking to a guy who was blind and was pulling in some good money. I thought it was this guy a minute. I goes to show that if someone who can’t see can build a website and make money, than if you can see, you have absolutely no excuses.
‘I can’t do it’ is not good enough.
11 admin // Feb 11, 2010 at 4:37 pm
Totally Daniel.
Matt is definitely an inspiration.
What’s funny though is that there’s definitely two camps of people – there’s those who genuinely appreciate the REALITY of work vs reward…
And then there’s those who are actually repulsed by that idea. They want the easy money. Can’t come to terms with reality – or that they actually need to provide something to others.
I say all this because, unbelievably, I have never received so many complaints in the past about a mailing as I did today.
People complaining that “it’s not that easy”… or that it’s different when you already have a list, etc.
WE ALL STARTED FROM ZERO.
That’s very important to remember.
And I also had a few classic complaints. I think I will literally print and frame these ones…
Here’s the best two:
————————
1) One person wrote me a long-winded “lesson” explaining that instead of simply selling stuff all the time, I need to provide great content for free that spells out how to succeed.
(Oh, you mean like the FREE interview with a marketer that built up a 7-figure business in a little over a year?)
I wrote them back explaining the irony of their “lesson”, and encouraged them to unsubscribe.
2) Another person wrote in complaining that I don’t share enough information on how to recruit JV partners.
Funny… since, once again, that was basically the entire focus of the interview – and he’s built a million dollar enterprise based SOLELY on using JV’s to get leads & customers.
It’s crazy.
I usually get ZERO complaints when I’m launching a product of mine or recommending an affiliate program (which I almost never do).
And when I stick my neck out trying to genuinely help – asking for nothing in return – all the complainers emerge.
Wow.
I guess I’m just a little flabbergasted.
Anyway… enough of that.
Let’s hope that the majority of us are going to BENEFIT and learn from Matt’s expertise, and his amazing story.
The process is simple but we do have our work laid out for us.
(It’s just that it’s the type of work that pays really, really well…)
Take care

Hi Chris,
After listening to Matt’s interview, I just can’t imagine how to complain. I really liked the way he accepts what he can do and what he can’t, sometimes I just try to do everything on my own and lose a lot of time in the process.
I decided to buy your book confessions of a lazy super affiliate after listening to this inspiring talk. And after reading the first 44 pages, is just a matter of putting it into action, I will play the moron this time and just do what you say there.
Thanks for this great interview and also for such a great book, I started my first mini-site today.

Chris, thanks for the interview with Matt,
just listening to Matt its easy to see he is very genuine, and has a lot of integrity.
this interview is timely in that recently I’ve felt a bit empty making money with my content sites,
I have started to go through them and create more professional headers and improve the quality of the content, soon will have a way for my visitors to interact with the sites more
as Matt said, focus on creating value,
value is motivating, the headers I made myself look pretty cool, and I’m looking forward to adding more quality content, which will help get more links
to the complainers, just keep trying, I ‘m far from where I want to be, but I just keep trying
15 admin // Feb 12, 2010 at 3:23 am
Right on Jeremy
The only difference between the results when you’re in the “trying” stage to the “making it” stage comes down to:
1) Time
2) Number of sites
3) Finding hot offers
That is literally it.
So keep going. You are likely closer than you think.

Great interview Chris, it is very inspiring. I find that a lot of the info you give is very inspiring.
When I get discouraged about the results I’m having, I have been returning to an email you recently sent. It speaks of the difference between the dreamers & earners comes down to one things: Sites.
More Sites More Traffic More Profit
I just have to have faith that my continued effort will eventually pay off.
Thanks Chris.

Hi Chris,
Thanks very much for the interview. I listened to it and thought it was great.
I learned the very hard way that trying to do something in online business purely for the sake of making money didn’t work. It didn’t work for me for a very, very long time.
I found it to be like pulling my own teeth. And sometimes if felt worse than my regular day job.
It took me a long time to accept that something was really wrong. Now, I did learn copywriting and even mentored with several professional copywriters. But I discovered that I basically cannot stand writing for other people. LOL.
I’ve learned how to do so many things along the way. I’m like a walking IM encyclopedia. But I still am not 100% sure about what I want to do. But I do know that I prefer to create my own products as opposed to affiliate marketing.
After listening to your interview with Matt, well, it helped a lot. It helped to put things in better perspective, and it served to confirm what I learned the very hard way about doing this just for the sake of making money.
So in that respect, I feel better about it! lol. For so long I thought something was wrong with me. But nothing’s wrong with me.
Thanks again, Chris.

I can’t believe you had ANY complaints at all after doing this.
Pure unadulterated content…period.
If anyone listens to this interview, and doesn’t “get it” when it comes to growing a business…I don’t think they can get it.
But what I appreciated the most, is the pdf transcript I just downloaded today…and printed immediately. I will read this 3 times today minimum.
There are absolutely NO excuses for ANYONE not to be able to start and run an online venture successfully after this interview.
Thank you Chris and Matt for sharing.

Chris:
Im not good at “advicing”, but as I see you came across with some stupid people who cant value something as deeply inspiring and moving in every damn way as all this was, then I would like to say that it is somewhat better to find moments like these, where absurd people cant get the value from meaningful gestures – and screw them away. Ironically, I think that should complement your last thread, BTW…
I felt it was important to stress how valuable and worthy of respect this was for me, even far beyond the monetary success that Matt achieved.
And on that note, If some idiots think that selling something is bad, then those ones should become MONKS. I wonder if they are as “free giving” in their own businesses…
And it is even worst when you weren’t selling anything. Anyway, I don’t think you need any encouraging words to overcome this, by I felt so PERSONALLY offended that people could not valued what you and Matt were trying to share and do… that I exploded here.
Thanks a lot for this, both of you.

I’m not sure to buy into this thing. Being blind is a very serious limitation, so the only way to succeed this way is having lots of money to outsource everything and pay for good information.
Maybe this a “product” created by some Guru to sell more stuff. Maybe this guru paid someone blind and created all the history around.
26 admin // Feb 24, 2010 at 5:22 pm
Andres,
Well you’re right about one thing. You definitely shouldn’t “buy” into this.
THAT’S BECAUSE THERE’S NOTHING FOR SALE.
This is an actual interview.
And no, he didn’t have any money to begin with.
He had something called “determination”.
As in, he didn’t make excuses… like the one you just did:
“so the only way to succeed this way is having lots of money to outsource…”
Ironic.

Dear Chris
Thank You for sharing this powerful message to us, I started IM with the only ebook I ever bought, your “Confessions Of A Lazy Super Affiliate”.
I once also looked at everything IM related as a scam, it’s funny since I come from a IT background and worked as a system analyst for years.
IM has a bad rep due to other online scams but to anyone who has spent just one day on a IM forum or that has spoken to genuine people, knows it’s as good of a deal as any other job in life.
Getting back to your interview, I have definitely identified myself in some character flaws that you guys spoke about but on a very positive note, I have really discovered a few good reasons why I still want to pursue this.
I started with a simple goal of making some money online but I actually enjoy the whole challenge of it, building websites and just being able to identify myself with such a cool job.
Once again, thank you immensely for putting yourself forward as a person, it really does make the whole difference.
This interview is going to be something which I will forever remind myself of.
Matt is a true inspiration and he has more sight then a lot of non blind people.
Our shortcomings and natural disadvantages hold us back only as much as we allow them to do so.
Thanks a bunch Chris
Igor

Hi Chris
I don’t usually post a lot of comments on blogs, but this is one of the best interviews I have ever read. I am going to listen to it later on at home.
My Fiance is not a firm believer in IM as she only has my lack of results as any kind of gauge, which means she is never really behind any efforts I make, which in turn, makes my time in trying to work on building a successful IM business very difficult. Always tutting, and saying it doesn’t work etc.
I am printing out this PDF and she is not going anywhere until she has read it this evening.
Hopefully, she will finally realise the possibilities.
Anyway, love your posts and loved the interview.
Cheers
Malcolm

Hi Chris, since your autoresponder email don’t receive mails nor do your support site, I’ll just write my question here with regards to your email titled “”Does Affiliate Marketing still work in 2010″? (RANT)” on 25/02.
My question was regarding Point 1 in the email talking about The Prevailing Belief That Only “New Stuff” is Effective. In your honest opinion, does the Conduit method still works today? (3 years after it was introduced by you) I just got my hands on the report a while back and noticed it was written back in 07.
So I’m really interested to find out about the issue of saturation here if you don’t mind. As I don’t want to waste copious amount of time building up sites only to realize its no longer workable.
Do hope you can enlighten me on this.
Thanks
Alex

Chris,
Your reply to Jeremy (#15) came at just the right time for me, as it’s exactly where I’m at right now. Once something hits, I’ll be scaling up and then deciding which out of the markets that have proven themselves to me I want to “build my business” around.
I’m sure your next VIP report will come in handy there.
I’ll admit, I haven’t listened to the interview yet, but I know it’ll be worth it. I can’t believe you had complaints about it though…=/

Hi Alex,
Yes, it still works today. I didn’t invent the “method”. I just coined a term that describes a basic fundamental principle behind SEO:
* Specific long-tail content
And that works in just about any market with very few exceptions.
No, you can’t just go build a 3 page conduit site with the world’s most popular products and expect to make your first million.
But you CAN go into just about any market, profile as many products as you can, and see a consistent trickle of traffic and sales after you build up some web presence.
Once again… nothing has changed.
There’s a bit more competition these days – but there’s also a lot more products in just about any marketplace.
Moreover, it’s just one strategy among many.
And it is never something that I have EVER recommended on relying upon solely.
My teaching has *always* been to generate initial results with small tester sites, see what works well, and then build an actual business around that topic.
I’ve been saying that since “Confessions” and I’m saying it now.
That, also, will not be changing any time soon.
-Chris

Chris, quite an inspiration. Sure to put a few of those wannabe get rich overnighters in their place.

Hey Chris,
I’ve been reading, re-reading, and grabbing as much as I can from:
http://www.thelazymarketer.com/PSA-Chris-Rempel-Strategy.pdf
I did this by HAND for about 400 pages back in 2001, and again for about 300 pages in 2003, and some of those pages are still performing really well.
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for the report. I am getting moving with this tactic/strategy again now…
Quick question: what platform(s) are you building these sites on? I imagine it could be done with WordPress, but I don’t think that would be the best way to go?
I just don’t want to pay some programmer to custom build something if there’s something good already out there (I’m sure there is…) Just looking for a little nudge in the right direction in terms of what platform(s) these sites should be built on.
Thanks again Chris. I haven’t yet listened to the interview … still want to… just focused on stuff.
Warmest,
Jonathan

I have read your e-book (twice!) and very eager to get started. I just have one question about the OdditySoftware.com databases. I notice that the databases come with thousands of records. Would the contents of these databases be used to populate the website?
Many thanks

I love this…
“They want the easy money. Can’t come to terms with reality – or that they actually need to provide something to others”
It reminded me of something I read not too long ago about the difference between trying to sell a painting to an Eskimo at a good price or a hunting rifle to the same Eskimo at a good price. If I’m not really trying or wanting to help people and provide something of value to them then I am doomed to become frustrated, poor and hungry. But if my focus is actually helping people to solve a problem then I am sure to find success; both personal and financial, which will follow. But most of all, I need to actually do something…take action and move in a direction…
I found the interview very inspiring…and not due to the fact that Matt is blind but because he lacked any sort of fear and knew that he would be successful.
Ok…my head’s spinning…just wanted to say thanks!
Cory
