It reminded me of something I read not too long ago about the difference between trying to sell a painting to an Eskimo at a good price or a hunting rifle to the same Eskimo at a good price. If I’m not really trying or wanting to help people and provide something of value to them then I am doomed to become frustrated, poor and hungry. But if my focus is actually helping people to solve a problem then I am sure to find success; both personal and financial, which will follow. But most of all, I need to actually do something…take action and move in a direction…

I found the interview very inspiring…and not due to the fact that Matt is blind but because he lacked any sort of fear and knew that he would be successful.

I did this by HAND for about 400 pages back in 2001, and again for about 300 pages in 2003, and some of those pages are still performing really well.

Quick question: what platform(s) are you building these sites on? I imagine it could be done with WordPress, but I don’t think that would be the best way to go?

I just don’t want to pay some programmer to custom build something if there’s something good already out there (I’m sure there is…) Just looking for a little nudge in the right direction in terms of what platform(s) these sites should be built on.

Yes, it still works today. I didn’t invent the “method”. I just coined a term that describes a basic fundamental principle behind SEO:

* Specific long-tail content

And that works in just about any market with very few exceptions.

No, you can’t just go build a 3 page conduit site with the world’s most popular products and expect to make your first million.

But you CAN go into just about any market, profile as many products as you can, and see a consistent trickle of traffic and sales after you build up some web presence.

Once again… nothing has changed.

There’s a bit more competition these days – but there’s also a lot more products in just about any marketplace.

Moreover, it’s just one strategy among many.

And it is never something that I have EVER recommended on relying upon solely.

My teaching has *always* been to generate initial results with small tester sites, see what works well, and then build an actual business around that topic.

I’ve been saying that since “Confessions” and I’m saying it now.

That, also, will not be changing any time soon.

Your reply to Jeremy (#15) came at just the right time for me, as it’s exactly where I’m at right now. Once something hits, I’ll be scaling up and then deciding which out of the markets that have proven themselves to me I want to “build my business” around.

I’m sure your next VIP report will come in handy there.

My question was regarding Point 1 in the email talking about The Prevailing Belief That Only “New Stuff” is Effective. In your honest opinion, does the Conduit method still works today? (3 years after it was introduced by you) I just got my hands on the report a while back and noticed it was written back in 07.

So I’m really interested to find out about the issue of saturation here if you don’t mind. As I don’t want to waste copious amount of time building up sites only to realize its no longer workable.

Do hope you can enlighten me on this.

My Fiance is not a firm believer in IM as she only has my lack of results as any kind of gauge, which means she is never really behind any efforts I make, which in turn, makes my time in trying to work on building a successful IM business very difficult. Always tutting, and saying it doesn’t work etc.

I am printing out this PDF and she is not going anywhere until she has read it this evening.

Hopefully, she will finally realise the possibilities.

Thank You for sharing this powerful message to us, I started IM with the only ebook I ever bought, your “Confessions Of A Lazy Super Affiliate”.

I once also looked at everything IM related as a scam, it’s funny since I come from a IT background and worked as a system analyst for years.

IM has a bad rep due to other online scams but to anyone who has spent just one day on a IM forum or that has spoken to genuine people, knows it’s as good of a deal as any other job in life.

Getting back to your interview, I have definitely identified myself in some character flaws that you guys spoke about but on a very positive note, I have really discovered a few good reasons why I still want to pursue this.

I started with a simple goal of making some money online but I actually enjoy the whole challenge of it, building websites and just being able to identify myself with such a cool job.

Once again, thank you immensely for putting yourself forward as a person, it really does make the whole difference.

This interview is going to be something which I will forever remind myself of.

Matt is a true inspiration and he has more sight then a lot of non blind people.

Our shortcomings and natural disadvantages hold us back only as much as we allow them to do so.
