1st! Congrats on the sale of your Mako site.
2 admin // Aug 14, 2010 at 7:34 pm
Hi Bowie – thanks man
To clarify though, this is a site that was built a few years ago, and it, among other authority sites of mine, used the FRAMEWORK and structure that we have automated with the MAKO software.
It’s 6 of one, half dozen of the other – but I want to make that clear to my readers.
Thanks!

I’ve been thinking too small. This whole series of posts has expanded my thinking. One thing I’ve wanted was not to be dependent on Adwords PPC, Amazon, eBay,Adsense for my income. They can eliminate your account on a whim. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Hi Chris,
I’ve sent you an email and hope to be on the list. Didn’t send any detailed info on who I am or what I am currently doing, but if that is requested please let me know.
Thanks,
Mikael

Ok Chris I get what u saying. Tell me this how is this framework applicable to international countries like Australia where I am from.
Or vice versda if I am targeting USA/UK etc.
What the positves and negatives of that within the system? Pleace verify
Cheers
TM
6 admin // Aug 16, 2010 at 4:32 am
TM,
The framework handles any data you inject – so if you’re in Australia, just use aussie data (content).
Re: positives and negatives?
Well… that’s kind of dependent on what you’re after, your skillset, and your experience level.
My suggestion would be to read through my4-part blog series, check out the MAKO demo video and then come to your own conclusions for your situation regarding the pros and cons.
For me, the “big” pro is simply just automating the stuff I’ve always done manually. It saves development time, and makes it very simple to handle large scale site production.
Everything is optimized for the style of marketing that has worked best for me over the years.
That’s why I developed it – for my usage.
As for your own pros/cons – they vary depending on your situation.
If you’re after the “fast results” or if you don’t want to put in the time to build up authority content/linking, then this isn’t for you.
However, if you’re in this for the big numbers and you realize that it takes a “real” site to get there – then this is for you.

Wow great work, 150k for one site is really good! This is really powerful stuff, I have looked into a similar concept in the past but it would take way longer that what it seems mato automates.
Im just interested to know how technical is everything to setup? I make good money online but technical things are not my strong point. Will you have videos for example on getting started with it?
9 Simeon // Aug 16, 2010 at 8:10 am
Chris,
That is FANTASTIC and I’m excited to find out more next week! Although the Conduit Method still works to this day, “MAKO” obviously takes things to a whole different level
Congrats to you by the way!

Hi Chris,
Sorry, my comment here does not pertain to MAKO but a support ticket # 2952C7 raised on 09-Aug pertaining to Aff Genie & Professional Video Promos.
Despite several reminders, the issue still remains unresolved and hardly any response from your support personnel.
Would you kindly have a look at it?
Thanks

Hi Chris
thanks for this great video. There are couple questions:
1. Does this platform similar to WP? I mean is it easy to install? What system requirements – do I need dedicated server or virtual hosting?
2. Can I install MAKO on 3-4 domains? Any restrictions?
thanks

Hey Chris, do you include or provide instructions for how to setup the script that allows for contact info collection that integrates with your autoresponder?
i.e. the global promo section where user data is collected for the dual purpose of monetizing through selling the lead to the appropriate business and for building your email list to grab some additional income via CPA offers, etc?

But THANKS for NOT pricing this at $197.

Chris said:
“If you’re after the “fast results” or if you don’t want to put in the time to build up authority content/linking, then this isn’t for you.”
But with your “optional” services then a person unwilling to put in the time to create solid content could still have this part covered for them if they decided to pay for the content part to be done for them right?
Then it’s down to working on the linking part (is that right?)………..unless you have a service for that too.

Hi Stephen
The linking with authority sites is a bit more involved, but I will be covering that in depth in the post-sale webinar/video series.
Thanks!

20 The Mad Scientist // Aug 16, 2010 at 2:39 pm
@pepe
Chris is away this week so I will be looking after his blog for a few days.
I was once EXACTLY like you and thought all of these internet marketers only make money through selling us stuff.
I could not have been more wrong, I have been working directly with Chris for over a year now developing products for him and I to use.
You may not believe that he actually does what he preaches but I have seen it over and over again first hand.
The contract that he scanned in for the video is for a site that uses the IDENTICAL process to MAKO is absolutely legitimate. ( I was there when the deal was made and the site was sold).
So Pepe you have a choice, you can continue to be skeptical and flame post comments like you did OR you can actually do something with the information that is shared here and find out just how real it is.
Since meeting Chris I have more than doubled my income and have let go of most of my nickle and dime clients. THIS STUFF IS FOR REAL!!!
Good Luck with your future endeavors.

21 Stephen // Aug 16, 2010 at 4:00 pm
@Matt,
Hey Matt, do you know if Chris will be releasing the exact time MAKO will go on sale? I know it will be the 23rd, but what time? I’d like a little heads up if possible in case I need to move a doctors appointment to be sure I’m at my computer ready to place my order.
I’ve been sold on Chris’s being a genuine marketer for a long time and I’m already 100% sold on MAKO.
My biggest fear right now is that I think this thing will sell out in 5 minutes or less and that I won’t make the top 100 which is now as Chris said probably around 85 spots at this point because some people are guaranteed spots after contacting Chris.
I’ll admit I understand the request for those who won’t be able to be online at that time, but at the same time I find it a bit irksome that while some of us will be online when this gets released could not get in the top 100 spots because some people got free passes (locked in spots) while the rest of use pray we’ll be fast enough with the order button when the time comes.
If I weren’t an honest person I’d claim I won’t be able to be by a computer on that day just so I could get a spot locked in. As it stands no I don’t know if I will or not because while I know I have a doctors appointment on the 23rd, I just don’t know if it will be at the same time that day as when MAKO is released since Chris hasn’t said what time on the 23rd he’ll release it to his list.
Anyway if you have any details of the time this will take place (based on what time zone?) and if we’ll be sent the order/sales page URL the day before or something, that information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
P.S. If Pepe has a spot locked in I’ll take his spot!

This comment is for the people that don’t get it.
This has been very valuable to me as it has given me the keys to make money. It has always been right in front of me and I just didn’t see it completely before.
Ok. There are businesses and networks that pay money for people to see, buy and taste their stuff.
#1 Find someone that spends money
#2 Put yourself in front of that person
#3 Collect their money
I know you may still be confused but that is the simplicity of this.
Build authority in low competition markets. Use that authority to build authority in a national 0r world market.
Make money with lead generation and advertising.
Here is a company that earns through lead generation. They are traded publicly!
They have 4 super site directories in auto financing.
“Revenue for the 2010 second quarter totaled $12.1 million”
http://www.autobytel.com/content/framed/index.cfm/action/InvestorRelations
There is obviously money in lead generation:)
Just like you were told.
Build city sites. Link to a directory( Mako Dominator). Sell advertising and leads generated through those sites.

25 Techno // Aug 16, 2010 at 11:32 pm
The real money is how much time & money u willing to spend on link building and unique review/comment posting. The site can be build without MAKO as Chris himself has mentioned. But essentilaly the minimum $1000 price tag u r paying is against ur time and techincal ability to manage the project.
I know I can build this directiory sites without MAKO but it will take time and much devotion – so the ultimate question remains how much of ur time is worth? Also how good u r at understanding building links process and offpage SEOs.
Where I am from (AUS) there is only 5 major GEO cities to aim for (I am intersted in population of 100,000 only) so targeting a niche eg Attorney and buying or DIY yellow page scaraping leads you can build 1k-3k list with 100 page deep is possible.
I like the MAKO concept is brillinat and prosperous and I also shake my head when I read some think its worth 5k-20k.
Well not that I am saying its not worth that much, but like all business it depends on how much u make it worth. So back to what I said earlier – building 1000 page directiory alone is not good enough its what u do after that.
@ Mad Scientist – may be u can empasize me on this.
Cheers
TM
26 The Mad Scientist // Aug 17, 2010 at 12:14 am
@Techno
You nailed it on the head, yes you can do it without MAKO. But and a big but is how much experience do you have building directory based sites?, have you got a popup manager?, RSS submitter?, and the many other tools that are included with the MAKO package.
We priced this product fairly (for you the clients)- the real marketers and not the button pushers. The amount of experience and time that went into development would blow most peoples minds and the big players in IM will know what has gone into it – seeing the time saving value in the product.
But at the end of the day (i will use a Chris analogy here) You can go out and buy a Porsche 911 Turbo but if you can’t drive you are still going to be out performed by a Honda Civic with the right driver.
Its not the software that makes the big difference it is what you do with it!!!
The time saving alone is worth the value but there is SO MUCH MORE…THAT IS WHY WE BUILT MAKO.

Hi Matt/Chris
I know there were some details in the other 4 posts but can you snapshot or bullet the additional costs of outsourcing and other extras, beyond the cost of Mako to get a full directory site with original handwritten content?
It may just help a few of us to figure the full investment cost of building a site like this.
Thanks,

Hey Matt,
Can you explain how the MD is being distributed, WTR to:
1) Unencrypted Source Code?
2) Licensing Checks?
The part that Rempel, has the power to disable a site, on his side, is a concern.
How much access does Rempel have to the niches that MD owners create?
thanks!

@Greg, prices were not mentioned for the additional services. We’ll know when Chris gets back from his hike.

Hey guys, back from the hike now (with blistered-up feet to prove it!). Took 4 days, 47 kms of crazy west-coast terrain (think: goat paths) lugging a 60 lb backpack.
It was a nice relaxing break, before I go headlong into “launch mode” here with MAKO.
I’ll be back on the blog to answer some of the recurring questions/issues shortly.
As you might imagine, I arrived back home to literally hundreds of emails, tasks, etc. and I need to start “digging”
So check back shortly…

Great to have you back –
Been waiting for your return.
Have sent in an email through your support who were very kind enough to reply back
Looking forward to launch day and any details regarding the screening process.
Thanks
32 Stephen // Aug 20, 2010 at 7:48 pm
Hey Chris,
60lbs. pack! I wouldn’t carry that out to my car much less 47 kms (how ever far that is – I’m American, speak English! LOL).
I noted this earlier in hopes that your support folks might answer this for me (post #21), but I have physical therapy on Mondays (the day of your launch) due to a recent surgery I went through and I had hoped to get the TIME the launch would take place so if I needed to change my appointment I could have.
Unfortunately no one provided the launch time and now being late Friday it’s too late for me to move that appointment if it conflicts with the MAKO launch and I have to pay a lot of money out of pocket if I don’t show up.
I’m already sold on MAKO and am planning on getting in. Question is what time will the launch take place?
Between my appointment time for physical therapy plus travel time there and back I won’t be able to be in front of my compute between 9:00 am – 11:30 am PST (so noon – 2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time). Am I ok time wise to do this?
Thanks,
Stephen

Where is the sales page? What the terms / pointers?
What is the Money Back Guarantee?
How can you think of charging people $997 without putting up any specific details of the package and leave for hiking is beyond me? Well I know we will be getting sales without it as desperate people will buy it anyway, but wouldn’t it be a better approach you think?
35 Darrin // Aug 21, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Like Robert, I am also concerned about the comment Chris made about being able to deactivate sites remotely.
That sort of defeats the purpose of us having our own unencrypted copy of the script like Matt said we would. It also raises privacy concerns.

Is everyone enjoying this live moment of cutting edge stuff that paves the way for monumental change – THIS was the future of Semantic Web over 10 years ago!
MAKO Dominator is the sleek, new vehicle that takes us back to the future so we can dominate and eliminate over a decade of irrelavant, useless data that makes what matters too hard to find in all the clutter.
I am one of the Test Drivers for MAKO Denominator and from what I can tell, the reason it’s so much more powerful than anything else on the market today is in part due to there being no SFE** to get in the way. It’s simple design makes it fast and easy to keep the pages updated. **shiny front end
MAKO uses plain text .csv – the raw data Tim Berners-Lee talks about when he refers to “The Next Web” (Ted dot com) At the risk of sounding silly, He invented the WWW about 20 years ago.
In the wrong hands, this software is seriously dangerous. The worry should be whether the remote control has a backup plan just in case some hacker gets clever and deactivates the software he conned some unsuspecting person
out of with false promises.
Without total transparency, there is the real risk of unwittingly hiding those who take part in nefarious activities. If you can’t put your trust in “The Lazy Marketer” at least until he gives you a reason not to, then who can you trust?
Here’s a real life example of this very thing going on right now www dot thenextweb dot com Hackers are using their nice new toolbar for all kinds of destruction.
They must not care about that because last time I checked you can still download the toolbar and install it at your own VERY REAL risk.
That happens all the time and obviously Chris knows this better than we do. I think deferring to his judgment is your best bet.
40 Jeffrey Evans // Aug 22, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Chris, I am looking forward to purchasing MAKO. I will be sitting with my finger on the button and standing by with two internet connections. I fully believe you when you say there are only 85 slots available and you will shut it down. I appreciate the fact your list of prior customers is getting the first shot. However – I am dismayed to receive another marketers link to this program. This no longer gives your customers an early bird advantage. We are now competing with not just your list but the lists of at least one other heavy weight marketer. I am not a whiner and never have been. Just dismayed. Hope my trigger finger is fast enough.

42 admin // Aug 25, 2010 at 3:44 am
@John, #34
This wasn’t a typical product launch. Hence no pending sales pages with a countdown, etc.
I laid out terms and legal aspects on when the order pages went live.
Like I stated, this was a limited run, and now it’s over.
When it goes retail on the 30th, it will be by-approval only and we are limiting sales to approx 3 per week, max, to control usage and scaling.
As for a money-back guarantee?
Sorry, if you’re looking for the exit before you start, this isn’t for you.
MAKO is designed for people to save time and money on developing what they were already intending to do.
It’s not an “opportunity”. It’s a publishing framework for established marketers.
I have tried to make this exceptionally clear and transparent throughout the entire process.
Thanks
-Chris

“NOBODY has to be left out. Nobody – as long as everyone behaves themselves – working together just works. ZERO Cost!”
Wondering if a Tribe means non-profit with a warm, fuzzy feeling instead of money?
Tribes are groups of people who want and believe the same things and What they do proves what they believe and that’s Why they do it.
There are Tribes that want to provide a safe place for battered women. They provide food, shelter and clothing, etc.. because they care.
They only care about using money to buy what they need to further their cause. Sometimes they run out, most of the time they have enough and that results in lives saved every day.
Money is a Result NOT a Reason.
MAKO Tribe Members build massive authority sites with relevant unique content that matters across the web using the MAKO Directory Builder.
The Tribe dominates Niches across the Web and eliminate useless, irrelevancy causing a ripple effect that goes far and wide. That is what they care about.
Results depend on what you actually do which includes behaving yourself and doing the right thing when nobody is looking.
